One of my favourite Bidgood records today! First of all, I've not been able to remove that hideous high pitch shriek that 90% of 8 inch Broadcasts seem to make without removing some of the music as well. Until I get better processing software, we're all kind of stuck with it :( However this is a really fun record! Best side is "Dancing Tambourine" but the flip "Barbara" is pretty good as well. Broadcasts were introduced by the Vocalion corporation in 1927, billed as "The Long Playing Record" despite their small size of 8 inches. Harry Bidgood's Broadcasters acted effectively as a studio band, seemingly using multiple pseudos too (however on this record they are billed with their actual name), though there were many standalone acts and even some actual dance bands that recorded for the label. Hope you enjoy these sides, they're nice ones!
