Hello Everyone. Grad student jobs can be hard to find if you don’t know what you’re looking for! Learning what a Graduate Student Researcher was, helped me so much in my grad career! Once I got my first GSR position, I realized graduate students have more ways to pay for grad school than just grants!! And the more GSRs you get, the easier the looking process can be. Maybe you heard about being a TA as a grad student job, or even working in restaurants to help pay your way through college? All of those are great ways to work off your student debt, but a GSR can be a little less stressful way to help afford grad school. Hopefully by taking you through how I got my Graduate student researcher jobs, and what the GSR position consists of, it will be easier for you to decide if you would benefit from working as a graduate student researcher!
