The Russian army chose a quick but reckless method: one ATV unit with a light trailer was used to transport six fully armed infantry soldiers at once. Unarmored, without adequate camouflage, and without escort, the vehicle moved as if it had already conquered the battlefield.

From the air, the Ukrainian FPV drone operator had locked onto them, a kamikaze drone gliding low. Within seconds, the impact struck the trailer—its weakest point and the center of the personnel concentration. A loud explosion was heard, halting the ATV's advance and eliminating the entire infantry load on board.
