Have you ever wondered what it'd be like to step foot inside your favorite piece of art? What it'd be like to cross the threshold of the frame into that world of intricate oils and inks?
I grew up playing video games, so much to the point that it became hard to have a conversation with my family regarding my interests. I'd like to think that this publication is how I'd finally put my interest into a relatable string of words that non-gamers might understand. I very much enjoy admiring and digesting art in many forms, though video games have held firm as my favorite expression of creation through collaborative or individual determination. This video is entirely an appreciation for some of the games I have enjoyed.
What are some of your favorite worlds to explore?
I hope you enjoy the video, more will be on their way substantially sooner than the gap between my first and second publications.
Special thanks to my longtime friend, Fireball, for graciously gathering footage for Fallout 4, as I was unable to get it to run consistently.
Lessons learned: The original scope of this project proved to be overwhelmingly broad in its inclusion of different titles and has thus lead to a substantial burnout on its creation. In the future I must focus on maintaining fewer subjects to focus on rather than excitedly including an original list of over twenty different worlds to explore in one project. In my opinion, this led to the detriment of the quality of this project. When creating a similar thesis for a future project, I must beware of scope-creep as much as a game development team should.
