We had the best time exploring Lake City over the weekend! If you haven’t been to Lake City, you need to add it to your list, there is so much to explore in the area, and the town itself is so quaint. Lake City is nestled in the San Juan Mountains with access to so much hiking, camping, OHV trails, fishing, and biking trails. Lake City is truly an outdoor enthusiasts dream!

Friday:

    ⁃    Enjoy a beer at Lake City Brewery.
    ⁃    Watch sunset at Lake San Cristobal Overlook.

Saturday:
    ⁃    Pick up breakfast at Lake City Bakery.
    ⁃    Take a scenic drive along Engineer Pass Road and explore Whitmore Falls & Nellie Creek Falls.
    ⁃    Enjoy downtown Lake City, pick-up an ice cream at San Juan Soda and explore the shops!
    ⁃    Take a scenic drive along CO-149 and check out South Clear Creek Falls, Rex Falls, Weminuche Wilderness Vista, North Clear Creek Falls and Windy Point Observation Site.
    ⁃    Enjoy dinner at Packer Saloon and Cannibal Grill (they have an awesome dog friendly patio space!)

Sunday:
    ⁃    Check out of your cabin at Alpine Village.
    ⁃    Grab a yummy breakfast at Breakfast Hangout and Euphoria.
    ⁃    Hike the beautiful Fanny Fern Mine Trail.
    ⁃    Drive back home.
