Mercari is the perfect place to declutter or discover items that will breathe new life into your space. The popular marketplace has over 50 millions downloads in the US alone and nearly 350K listings are created on Mercari every day.

Let’s walk through the process of selling on Mercari together! Once you go to the Mercari homepage, you can create your listing by clicking “Sell” in the top right hand corner. In the listing form, you can begin by uploading up to 12 images. After that, you can fill in your title which can be up to 40 characters, and if there's any information that doesn't fit in the title, you have up to 1000 characters in the description you can use as well. Next, you can enter three hashtags to help buyers find your item and you can choose from one of the multiple Mercarii selling categories.

The proceeding step is to select your brand name, the condition that best fits the item you're selling, and the color. Then you can enter your zip code and decide if you'll be giving buyers free shipping or select another shipping method. Lastly, choose the price for this listing and you're ready to post your item!

Once your item is listed, buyers can send offers. One great perk is that you can send counter offers and also initiate the offer to anyone watching your item.

If you experience any issues or have any questions, Mercari has a very user-friendly help center where you can find information on anything you need to use the site.

After selling an item, the buyer has to confirm that they've received the item, and both the buyer and seller have to submit feedback in order for the money to be released into your account. Mercari provides two different cash out options: you can either use instant pay, which has a two dollar fee and a five hundred dollar monthly limit, or you can do a bank direct deposit which takes three to five business days.
