Slurmcore is when a song becomes Slurmed. The meme originated with a tumblr audio entitled "Mmmm slurms" which featured a sped up, pitched down version of "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)" by The Proclaimers, accompanied by a GIF showing a photo of John Lennon doing a very funny walk, which had been animated to look like he was doing a peppy walk-dance. The original tumblr post appears to be lost, or maybe that is just tumblr search being suck.
The "Mmmm slurms" audio and animation were re-uploaded to YouTube and since then the term SLURMCORE has been coined to describe songs altered in this way.
