Summer Watercolor Plein Air Challenge: Sunshine Coast & Vancouver Island This summer, I set out on a plein air challenge, exploring the coastal beauty of the Sunshine Coast and Vancouver Island with my watercolor sketchbook in hand. I focused on quick studies that reflected the feeling of the place more than fine detail. The journey was not just about painting but about being present in nature, letting each scene guide my brush.  This No matter what... series is named after the mini sketchbook cover gifted from a friend. This journey about simple sketching travel art connects with the landscapes and memories of BC’s stunning coastline, one page, one peaceful moment at a time.

I often paint with acrylic and sometimes with gouache and watercolor.
