कर्नल कृष्णकांत पुरी और उनकी यूनिट के दस लोगों को एक महत्वपूर्ण मिशन में विफल होने के कारण भारतीय सेना से बेइज्जत कर छुट्टी दे दी गई। कृष्णकांत ने सैन्य आलाकमान के फैसले को चुनौती दी और 17 साल तक सिविल अदालतों में मामला चलाया, लेकिन अंतिम फैसला उनके और उनकी टीम के खिलाफ दिया गया। निराश होकर, वह आत्महत्या करने ही वाला है कि संध्या नाम की एक युवती उसके दरवाजे पर दस्तक देती है। खूंखार डकैत जगीरा के हाथों अपने पिता, वन अधिकारी सुंदर राजन की नृशंस हत्या देखने के बाद, संध्या देवदुर्ग क्षेत्र में जगीरा के आतंक के शासन को समाप्त करने में सहायता मांगने के लिए कर्नल के पास आई है। कृष्णकांत उसकी सहायता करने के लिए सहमत हो जाता है और अपने साथी बदनाम अधिकारियों और अधीनस्थों को इस मिशन में सहायता करने के लिए बुलाता है। वे जगीरा का मुकाबला करने के लिए आवश्यक गोला-बारूद और हथियारों के साथ देवदुर्ग में इकट्ठा होते हैं, उन्हें इस बात का अहसास नहीं होता कि जगीरा का स्थानीय पुलिस पर प्रभाव है, जो कृष्णकांत और उनके लोगों को किसी भी बंदूक और हथियार रखने से रोकने की कोशिश करते हैं। इससे लोगों पर कोई असर नहीं पड़ा और वे देवदुर्ग में ही रुके रहे। उन्होंने ग्रामीणों का विश्वास भी जीत लिया।

China Gate :-
Colonel Krishnakant Puri and ten men from his unit were dishonourably discharged from the Indian Army for failing in a critical mission. Krishnakant challenged the decision of the military high command and pursued the case in civil courts for 17 years, but the final verdict is given against him and his team. Frustrated, he is about to commit suicide when a young lady named Sandhya knocks on his door. Having witnessed the brutal murder of her father, Forest Officer Sunder Rajan, at the hands of dreaded dacoit Jageera, Sandhya has come to the Colonel to ask for his assistance in bringing an end to Jageera's reign of terror in the Devdurg region. Krishnakant agrees to assist her and summons his fellow disgraced officers and subordinates to assist him in this mission. They assemble at Devdurg with the necessary ammunition and arms to combat Jageera, not realising that Jageera has influence over the local police, who try to prevent Krishnakant and his men to possess any guns and weapons. This does not deter the men, and they continue to stay on in Devdurg. They gain the confidence of the villagers too.
