Dr. Jeffrey Trawick-Smith, professor and director of the Center for Early Childhood Education at Eastern Connecticut State University will be featured. Dr. Trawick-Smith's expertise is researching how children learn from play. It is a process that begins in infancy, and emphasizes repetition, routine and positive reinforcement. His national research on toys is instrumental in deciding those that are not only developmentally appropriate, but the best for use in quality early learning practices.
