Iraq PM Warns Militias Amid Rising Regional Tensions

Описание: The Prime Minister of Iraq has instructed security forces to act against any group that threatens the country’s security and stability.

The statement appears to be directed at Shia militias inside Iraq, which are linked to Iran’s so-called “axis of resistance.” This network includes Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis, along with Iraqi Shia militias.

Some of these militias have reportedly targeted American interests in Iraq. The Iraqi administration, which maintains ties with the United States, has warned that action may be taken if instability continues.

With Iraq’s population nearly evenly divided between Shia and Sunni communities, authorities are focused on preventing internal unrest and maintaining law and order as the wider Middle East conflict risks expanding further.
