I Miss My Mum - Jason Todd!Robin Animatic (Batman/DCU fan animation)

Описание: Hi everyone! Not a Podfic but I made another animatic! Hyperfixation goes hard, I spent multiple hours every day for about 4 weeks on this baby. I hope you all like it, I personally think it’s much better than my last animatic.

Again, it’s a bit blurry because I drew and animated everything on Scratch, which was a pain in the ass but I like how specific I can get with timing so 8 dealt with it.

Summary of Jason’s lore if you’re unfamiliar:

Jason was taken in by Bruce after his mom, Cathrine Todd, died. His dad I think was dead at this point as well? The lore is weird, but it doesn’t matter, because he was a douche. He tried to steal the tires off the Batmobile and Batman was impressed (and lonely after Dick left). Anyway, he goes walking through crime ally one day and comes across his old apartment, where his old neighbor waves him down and tells him she saved some of his mom’s stuff. He looks though the box and finds his birth certificate, which doesn’t have Cathrine listed as his birth mom, but rather someone with an “S” name. He goes to the Batcave and analyzes the three “S” named women in the address book, and matches with Shelia Haywood, who was a humanitarian worker in Ethiopia. He catches a plane with a fake ID to meet her. Blah blah blah this is getting long, turns out the Joker was blackmailing her and so when Jason reveals he’s Robin she betrays him and the Joker beats him pretty much dead then ties up Shelia as well and set up a bomb. Batman is too late to save him, and Jason dies. (Fun fact: in the original comic, there was a poll readers com0eted to decide if Jason should really die, and he was so unpopular they actually ended up killing him off. Ironically, he’s one of the most favored robins now).
