1000 Dunas Raid – Joan Pedrero | Harley-Davidson Pan America

Описание: Elite Dakar Rally rider Joan Pedrero made history by successfully finishing the seven stage 1000 Dunas Raid riding a completely stock Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250 Special. The 1000 Dunas Raid was held in Granada, Spain from October 22-29, 2022.

Pedrero, who entered into the most demanding ‘Elite’ category, departed from Granada and crossed the Mediterranean Sea by ferry from Motril to Nador navigating the kingdom of the Berbers. From there, he crossed the Atlas Mountains, facing extreme temperatures from 100+ degrees to snowy conditions.

The route then descended to the tortuous sand dunes of Erg Chebbi, crossing the most deserted areas of Morocco. In the last stages of the raid, Pedrero crossed the Moroccan territory from Merzouga to Nador and faced the most challenging part of the race.
