When Jewish families talk about generational trauma it’s not just the stories that we recount - it’s also the physical anxiety that imprints on our DNA - a historical and genetic inheritance.
Daily I shelter my children from the news in an effort to protect their innocence, but of course I know the conversations and questions will come.
And it’s hard.
So sometimes I turn off of the news. I hug my babies and remember that the biggest difference I can make is in my own home.
