Jinja, is a city in the Eastern region of Uganda, located on the north shore of Lake Victoria. Only 81km from Kampala the capital and largest city of Uganda, Jinja has the second biggest economy in Uganda. Factories chose Jinja as their location because of the hydro power station at the Owen falls dam.
Jinja is considered to be the tourism hub of Africa, as its the location of the Source of River Nile, Busowoko falls, Makwanzi,, Itanda waterfalls and the Uganda railway museum.
