In this video I attempt to make plastic, specifically bioplastic from scratch in my garage! This entire process took so much time, it was like 30-40 hours in order to put all of this together! I had to work at home, in my garage, at school, it was definitely the longest chemical transformation as I had to turn cooking oil first into biodiesel and glycerol, and then use the glycerol to make our plastic. The glycerol had to be cleaned too!
Anyways, despite the massive amount of effort I put into this, I hope you enjoyed the video. I would say this is one of the safer experiments I do, and I would actually recommend you trying this at home (just be careful of the methanol), but I bet no one will do this due to how lengthy it is haha!
