Описание: A Young Person's Guide To is the fourth studio album by Australian grindcore/thrash metal band King Parrot, released on June 6, 2025 via Housecore Records (in North America) and Dead Set Records (in Australia). It is the band's first full-length album in eight years, since Ugly Produce (2017), and their first new material since the EP Holed Up In The Lair (2020).

Recorded at Dangertone studio in Melbourne with engineer Luke Walton, the album features 10 explosive tracks that maintain the band's signature sound: an extremely aggressive, chaotic, and visceral sound, mixing fast grindcore, hardcore and punk-influenced thrash metal, with lyrics full of dark humor, anger, and direct language (often with provocative and irreverent titles). The production was more polished and meticulous than in previous works, resulting in what the band itself describes as their "most complete, aggressive, and urgent" sound to date.

The album is described by the band as a "slab of sensory, destroying anthems," featuring heavy riffs, brutal breakdowns, and insane vocals from Matt Young. Reviews highlight its angrier and more directness, with less alcoholic humor and more fury, while maintaining the band's chaotic and fun essence. Many fans and reviews consider it their best work to date, with tracks free of filler and a concise length that invites repeated listens.

The title is an ironic reference to King Crimson's classic progressive album (A Young Person's Guide to King Crimson), but adapted to King Parrot's "extreme" and dirty style. The album is dedicated to the memory of a close friend of the band, Boyd Synnott. If you enjoy old-school grindcore with punk attitude and lots of live energy, this record is an intense lesson in controlled chaos!
