Thomas Anderson came to The University of Baltimore through its Second Chance College Program. He was sentenced to life at Jessup Correctional Institute, but pursued college courses at the every opportunity. Upon his release, after 22 and a half years in prison, Anderson continued classes at UBalt and on Dec. 18, 2023, he was the graduating class speaker at his own commencement.
