Fragment of Paul Whiteman and some of his musicians with their wives having a stroll on the boulevard at Scheveningen where they were performing at the Kurhaus during their 1926 European tour. Some good close-ups of Whiteman's musicians (Henry Busse a.o.) and especially of "Pops" himself who seems to be in a good mood and directs the local brass band. At the end of the film a man can be seen taking a photograph. We have meanwhile discovered the picture he took - it was for the Dutch newspaper "De Telegraaf" and appeared a day later in the paper. The cameraman who made the film can be seen in the photo!
Also footage of the concours d'elegance for motorcars which was held on the same day on the boulevard.
Added soundtrack is an edited version of "Bell Hoppin' Blues" by the Whiteman band, recorded just before they left for Europe.
