On a snowy winter morning on January 9th, 2026 at 9:30 AM, we take a walk along Vienna’s famous Ringstraße, starting near the Austrian Parliament and heading north toward Schottentor. Fresh snow had just fallen, covering the city in a quiet white layer, with temperatures around -1°C, 30°F.

The Austrian Parliament, inspired by ancient Greek architecture, marks the beginning of our route along one of Europe’s most beautiful boulevards, built where the old city walls once stood. Along the way we pass the Burgtheater, Austria’s national theater, the impressive Vienna City Hall, and the well known Café Landtmann, a traditional coffeehouse with a long history.

Across the street stands the University of Vienna, founded in 1365, and near Mölker Bastei we see the Liebenberg Monument, a reminder of Vienna’s past. Small details like Swing Kitchen (now bankrupt) show how modern life blends into this historic setting.

What makes this walk special is the atmosphere. Fresh snow softens the city, quiets the streets, and creates a rare moment where Vienna feels calm and almost untouched.

We decided to share this video now as a small farewell to the winter season, as spring has already arrived in Vienna.
