There are a total of 20 extant species of weasels, divided into two genera in subfamily Mustelinae. These include stoats, minks, ferrets, lesser weasels and polecats. Today, we're diving deep into Mustelinae.

The first genus is Mustela, containing 16 species. This is by far the largest genus from mustalidae.
