Описание: Welcome to the exciting world of dance sport! Are you ready to discover the Dance Sport School League (DSSL) and the Dance Sport Club League (DSCL)?

In 2015, the Street Dance Association launched the DSSL, bringing street dance into the mainstream sporting arena. Endorsed by the Federation of Dance Sport South Africa, the World DanceSport Federation, and SASCOC, the DSSL allows dancers to achieve provincial and national colours through our competitions.

The DSSL structured the league based on the successful sport school format. You don't need a vast amount of space to take part. Street dance can be done anywhere you find space - a quad, a field, or even a classroom. All you need is a pair of sneakers!

Street dance is easily accessible to everyone, regardless of age, gender, or background. It provides an opportunity for disadvantaged communities to participate in a sport that's inclusive and builds confidence.

By joining the DSSL, you'll learn the foundations of street dance, grow your confidence, and have opportunities for recognition. It's not just about the competition; it's about personal development.

Schools play a crucial role in the DSSL. They nominate a teacher in charge and provide a dance coach. We also encourage the development of dance athletes, coaches, adjudicators, and more, from disadvantaged schools.

The dance season runs from January to March, with weekly fixtures. There are also trials for regional and provincial teams, an exciting inter-provincial tournament, and a summer league for pre-season training.

Schools from across South Africa have already jumped on board. We have high schools like Curro Aurora, Parktown Girls High, and Saints Girls Prep. Primary schools like Dainfern Primary and Welridge Academy are also taking part.

The DSSL is not just limited to South Africa. We have dancers from Namibia and Mauritius joining in the excitement.

By participating in the DSSL, you're contributing to the future of dance sport. Your journey may lead to representing your country at the Olympics and other international events.

In addition to the DSSL, we also have the Dance Sport Club League (DSCL). It's a high-performance competition between clubs and studios. With styles like hip hop, breaking, popping, and more, the DSCL takes dance to the next level.

The top athletes from the DSCL will have the opportunity to represent their provinces and even their country internationally. It's an incredible platform for dancers to shine and showcase their talent.

The Street Dance Association, DanceSport South Africa, and SASCOC endorse both the DSSL and the DSCL. Together, we're creating a vibrant dance community that promotes inclusivity and healthy lifestyles.
