However, liquidity providers are now modeling an $8,000 gold floor; under a physically driven 12:1 ratio, this targets a staggering $660 per ounce. Maguire draws a parallel to Basel III, predicting that, just as gold rallied 162% once it was physically backed, London will be forced to match the Shanghai Gold Exchange’s full-payment standard, driving silver well beyond the $140 "pit stop."
