This song is performed by Running Still my band from Brooklyn NY and we had the unbelievable honor of recording with the legendary Robert Wyatt in the UK. We did a tour of the UK and then went to spend a weekend with Robert and his wonderful wife Alfie at their home in a small village close to the border of Scotland. We came for his feedback and ended up having him record a full song with us. A dream come true! Robert sings backup vocals and plays the Cornet. Come away is a song about a big love that I had and this song was written to tell my love to let go and trust me and “come away with me to another world” even though it might be scary.
