This video explores something chain reaction builders just started getting into - magnets. Together, TheInvention11 and I made a screenlink of 12 clips that feature tricks that wouldn’t be possible without magnets. TheInvention11 is my favorite builder, and I’ve been wanting to collab with him for a while, and him winning my contest gave us the perfect opportunity to do so.
Filming this machine went smoothly, and I am happy with the way I got all my clips to work, and I think TheInvention11 can say the same about himself. There’s something about magnets that makes things more reliable and I’m going to be using them a lot more often from now on. TheInvention11 made all of his clips in September, while mine were made sporadically between October and November. Together, we made 12 magnet tricks, and each of them involves a different way to attract and repel magnets. We also used different types of magnets - mine were generally stronger while TheInvention11’s were weaker. This made different types of tricks possible - it's easier to disconnect two weaker magnets while two stronger magnets can hold things much better.
