Why do I have an accent? 5 reasons Why i sound BRITISH

Описание: In this video, i outline why i have a British accent and how you can develop one too. I give 5 main reasons for my British accent, which can also be taken as steps to develop one if you're a non-native speaker of English. Essentially, it's about finding your British English voice.

#1 My use of the IPA symbols from the international phonetic index for British English
#2 Use of certain muscles in the mouth - these can be developed by following my Vocal Warm up exercises.
#3 Resonance: my voice mainly resonates in the cavities in the back of the mouth and throat, also around the soft palate at times and slightly in the chest.
#4 Focus: whereever your focus or attention is, the sounds will resonate. My focus is always on the vowels and diphthongs resonating in the cavities in the back of the mouth and throat.
#5: My rhythm and melody sound British: the way i emphasise important words and syllables, the way i inflect my voice at the beginning of an idea and before a pause (where there's a comma) and the way i bring my voice down when i reach a full stop.
