Recipe Name - Red Velvet Donuts
Facts:
Red velvet cakes, cookies, and cupcakes are everywhere now. Every bakery seems to be cashing in on these bright, red-coloured desserts. Why not use the same edible food colour and cream to make your favourite doughnuts. Doughnuts for the uninitiated is a leavened, deep-fried pastry. It is typically round in shape. It may or may not have a hole in between and is a popular breakfast food in America and Europe. This centre-filled, red velvet donut is not only satiating to the core but fit for your ‘gram too.
Ingredients:
For batter
160 Gm Refined Flour
2 Tbsp Corn Flour
1 Tbsp Cocoa Powder
1 Tsp Baking Soda
1/8 Tsp Salt
200 Ml Milk
1 Tbsp Vinegar
190 Gm Castor Sugar
50 Ml Melted Butter / Oil
1 Tsp Vanilla Essence
1 Tsp Red Food Gel Colour
Cream Cheese Frosting
1 Cup Whipped Cream
1/2 Cup Cream Cheese
1 Tbsp Icing Sugar
For Topping
Melted White Chocolate
Colourful Sprinkler
Steps:
In a bowl, pour milk, vinegar and mix well. Keep aside.
In another bowl, add sugar, butter or oil and cream it for 2-3 minutes
Now add vanilla essence and whisk well
Pour the milk mixture and whisk it
Shift the dry ingredients and fold in the using spatula
Add red colour and mix well
Pipe the batter in the greased mould and bake it in a preheated oven @180°C for 15-20 minutes
In another bowl, whisk together cream cheese and sugar
Add whipped cream and fold in
Slit the donuts into the half pipe with the cream cheese frosting and cover with a top layer
Drizzle white chocolate and sprinkle sprinklers. Serve!
