Martin Fondse and Wolfert Brederode formed their keyboard duo in 2008. Their activities extend far beyond the piano: in fact every possible keyboard instrument is included in their artistic vision, such as celesta and harmonium, Fender Rhodes and organ, melodica and vibrandoneon. The album Key Figures combines the lyricism of Brederode with the textured harmonic language of Fondse in tightly constructed compositions and intuitive improvisations, with an ever-present sense of melody and harmony. A duo which can sound both intimate and orchestral.
