Rescuing a flying-fox out of fruit tree netting: this is Mrs Gummy Bear

Mrs Gummy Bear is an adult female Grey-Headed Flying-Fox who managed to entangle herself in horrible fruit tree netting and required rescue.
In my area there is a large ageing immigrant population where the residents are still very Mediterranean, don't necessarily speak English well, and rely on their family to translate and deal with issues for them. I liaised with the son of the family to sort out the issue with this bat in his parents' fruit tree netting.
Mrs Gummy Bear wasn't too badly entangled, in that the entanglement wrapped her in a thick hank, rather than having multiple small tight entanglements. This causes less membrane damage and is a good thing, though the heat of the day was a definite minus.
I call bats whose teeth are worn down to their gum lines: Gummy Bears.

Gummy Bear went into care with a carer with other adult batties, and squeaked through her first critical few days in care. I lost track of her for a bit (being a little inundated at the time of her rescue), and eventually she was released through the release aviary about a month ago.
I love all the batties who survive against the odds.
