Today’s video brings a big and positive news update for all veterans. A major Ex-Servicemen Rally was held on 29 November at Hisar Cantonment (Haryana), where more than 15,000 veterans from across the state gathered. This rally, organised under the Sapta Shakti Command by the Dot On Target Division, brought several important announcements focused on the welfare of veterans, ECHS improvements, and new health initiatives.

One of the biggest highlights of the rally is this:

The Indian Army will establish 20 dedicated Veteran Hospitals across the country.

These hospitals will specifically serve ex-servicemen and their dependents, reducing dependency on private empanelled hospitals and bringing transparency to the ECHS system.

Another major announcement:

Veterans above the age of 70 will receive medicines delivered directly to their homes

—especially those who cannot walk, travel, or visit ECHS polyclinics due to age, disability, illness, diabetes, accidents, or mobility issues. The system will operate at the block level to ensure doorstep delivery.

These initiatives come at a time when veterans across India are suffering due to ECHS corruption and mismanagement.
Medicines often do not reach genuine patients, reimbursement claims are delayed, and multiple ECHS scams have been exposed. Many empanelled hospitals have been removed. Polyclinic staff and even OICs have been arrested. CBI raids have taken place. Organised fraud, inflated bills, and multiple admissions in multiple hospitals have drained ECHS resources.

The result is painful:
A veteran goes to the ECHS. He does not get medicines. He is forced to run around again and again.
This is why new strict steps and new welfare measures are being introduced.

During the Hisar rally, Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh, Army Commander of Sapta Shakti Command, addressed the veterans. He acknowledged the lifelong service and sacrifices of soldiers—those who guarded the borders, protected the nation, and gave their youth to India. The rally also honoured Veer Naris, Veer Mothers, and the families of martyrs, reaffirming that the nation stands committed to them.

The Army Commander highlighted the purpose of the rally:
• To reach every veteran, even those unable to travel
• To identify disabled soldiers, accident cases, and elderly veterans
• To resolve pension issues, CSD issues, dependent issues, and ECHS card problems
—before the day of the rally itself, through village-level outreach teams.

He also explained the new ECHS initiatives:
• Home-delivery of medicines for veterans aged 70+
• Recruitment of support personnel at the block level
• Introduction of pilot projects to build 20 Veteran Hospitals nationwide
• Plans to reduce dependency on private hospitals
• Transitioning ECHS OPD services to Army-run medical infrastructure
• Long-term vision to transform the entire ECHS system

If the pilot is successful, the ECHS structure will change completely—leading to better treatment, transparency, and accountability.

This rally was not just a ceremony; it was a strong reassurance that the Army is committed to solving the real problems of veterans—medical issues, paperwork issues, dependent documentation issues, and health-related challenges.

Veterans, Veer Naris, Veer Mothers, and disabled soldiers were honoured for their sacrifices and service.
