Whether I’m at home in Miami or traveling, one of my favorite things to do is to share a meal with one of my subscribers! You guys have given so much to me over the years and it feels great to meet and get to know you guys better! Come with me as I eat Indian food with an amazing subscriber in Miami, Florida!
I recently met up with Olga, an awesome Colombian fan from Miami who has traveled through India back in 2019! She even wore an Indian dress she bought in Varanasi! We linked up at Namaste Restaurant, one of my favorite local Indian spots in Coral Gables. We couldn’t wait to eat a bunch of dishes!

I wanted something spicy! They surprised us with some paneer chili, which is my favorite Indo-Chinese dish. I loved the sesame seeds and smoky flavor. We also got some Taj Mahal Beer for me and Kingfisher for Olga!
We met my boy Shravan, who works at Namaste, and then jumped on the sampler platter, which contained papdi chaat, chana masala, a veg samosa, aloo tikki, and bhel puri.
The papdi chaat had some sweetness but not overly so. Then, we jumped on the chana masala, which tasted like it contained some cinnamon. Next, we tried the aloo tikki and veg samosa. The aloo tikki was crispy on the outside and soft in the middle.
The bhel puri was crunchy with lots of fresh ingredients like cilantro, tomatoes, and herbs. I loved how light, airy, and crunchy it was, and the tomatoes gave it a juicy burst of flavor.
Next were malai kofta, paneer makhani, kadai paneer, tandoori mushrooms, mushroom naan, garlic naan, white rice, tamarind chutney, and mint chutney. The mushroom naan with the paneer makhani was amazing! The paneer was so soft and I loved the rich, creamy sauce.
The tandoori mushrooms with the cilantro chutney were smoky and tender. It was so flavorful! Then, we jumped on the malai kofta, which also contained cashews and were like a vegetable dumpling or veggie meatball in a rich sauce.
These veg dishes are so amazing, you don’t miss the meat! Then, we got some parathas, which are Olga’s favorite Indian bread. We used it to sop up the malai kofta gravy. It was too good!
Then, we had our favorite Indian dessert, rasmalai, which is cheese curd with cardamom, pistachios, and other herbs. It’s super creamy and refreshing and is great to have at the end of a meal!
My favorite dish was the malai kofta, while Olga loved the paneer makhani. But everything was outstanding!
