This video of vintage Norfolk & Western films was released by Morry Farcus and JMJ Productions in 1996. One of the rarities shown is the Jawn Henry, the N&W's attempt at a steam turbine locomotive that was an attempt to keep the internal combustion engine at bay on a railroad heavily dependent on coal.
The Big Three of N&W steam are here: the Class J 4-8-4s, the Class A 2-6-6-4s and the Class Y 2-8-8-2s. Also seen are other classes of steam and some early diesels.
