After an attack five years ago that killed an 84-year-old San Francisco man known as “Grandpa Vicha,” late today, a jury found the suspect guilty of involuntary manslaughter.
The jury also decided Antoine Watson is not guilty of murder in the first or second degree and not guilty of elder abuse.
The killing in January 2021 in the Anza Vista neighborhood made headlines around the world.
Vicha's death became one of the flash points in the "Stop Asian Hate" movement during the pandemic.
