US Sec of State Clinton meets Kenyan President Kibaki

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton arrived in Kenya on Saturday morning as she continues her seven-nation tour of Africa.
Growing security threats from Islamist militants and China's increasing influence throughout Africa are expected to top the agenda on Clinton's 11-day swing around the continent.
Clinton told journalists in Nairobi that she held very comprehensive discussions with Mwai Kibaki, Kenya's president.
"We had a long and constructive discussion of all the issues; humanitarian, development , security, governance, upcoming elections, Somalia, and i'm very much looking forward for the rest of the meetings," she said.
During her visit Clinton is expected to press the country's leaders on the importance of democratic elections, urging them to avoid a repeat of the 2007 presidential vote when national polls are held next year. The 2007 vote resulted in widespread violence.
She will wrap up the trip in Ghana, where she will attend the state funeral for the country's late president, John Atta Mills, who died unexpectedly last week.
