A 56.32 km/h (35 mph), frontal rigid barrier impact test was conducted on a 2019 Toyota Highlander based
on the specifications of the Office of Crashworthiness Standards Laboratory Procedure for NCAP Full
Frontal Rigid Barrier Impact Testing (May 2018) and FMVSS 208 (September 2012) test procedures. This
test was conducted to obtain data related to FMVSS Nos. 208, 212, 219 (partial), performance. The test
was conducted at the Transportation Research Center Inc. in East Liberty, Ohio on October 10, 2024.
The impact velocity was 56.33 km/h, and the ambient temperature at the barrier face at the time of impact
was 21.6° C. The target vehicle post-test maximum crush was 324 millimeters at Crush zone 5 at right
side. The test vehicle’s performance is as follows:
