A jewelry shop in Sonara Bazaar, Thatta city, was robbed after burglars broke into the premises, stealing 20 tolas of gold and Rs 300,000 in cash. Following the incident, local traders staged a shutter-down strike in protest.

The shop belongs to jeweler Haji Yousuf Sonaro. Shopkeepers accused the police of failing to take serious action to arrest the suspects. They warned that if the culprits are not arrested soon, they will launch a sit-in protest.
