Inside Noida RTO Office | People Allege Widespread Corruption, Say Touts Running The Show

Inside the RTO office in Uttar Pradesh's Noida, our team witnessed long queue of people waiting to get their permanent driving licence. They alleged that there is a widespread corruption in the department and that they are leaving their jobs and studies to visit the office which goes in vain. They further said that they are facing difficulty in booking online slots and are unable to do so. When they visit the office, they are given dates to visit the office after nearly 5-6 months. People say they have no clue as to what to do as without the driving licence they are being fined by traffic police.
Our team also talked to an official in the department who denied all the allegations and said during COVID, the work was on halted and so there is an overload on the system now. He said that things will get back to normal in the coming months.
