Описание: As an economical solution to straighten moderate weight shafts up to approximately 1,000 lbs., Savage offers the Fixed Fame (FF) straightening press. Comprised of a fixed bed of typically 96″ long and extension tables at both infeed and exit ends. The FF press handles shafts or tubes. The press is both less costly and quicker delivery than the traveling gantry style press. Roller stands permit crane loading and workpiece positioning under a fixed ram.

The workpiece is loaded onto the roller stands on the extension table. After rotation and indication of the high spot, the piece must be manually positioned under the ram, by moving it along with roller mounted carriage. This provides a more economical method of positioning the work than the powered devices of a traveling gantry style press. The first FF press is shown with two 30 ft. long extension tables. The second press has 20 ft. extension tables. Its accessories are illustrated. Note how the shaft sits on the carriage assembly, which is keyed to the centerline, and is moved manually from the loading table to the pressing area. As the ram descends onto the shaft, the rotation roll stand springs collapse allowing the work to contact the V-block anvils. The V-blocks in turn lower under straightening pressure to allow full base contact for better distribution of the load over the bed. See also the hardened liners on the v-anvils. As the ram retracts, the springs lift the shaft, unload the wheels and allow carriage movement to unload the shaft.
