How To: ProLine Promoto MX SM Pro Spec Wheel assembly- Lacing up a Rim

Описание: Join me today as I "Lace Up" some rims for the LOSI Promoto RC motorcycles. Pro Line put these on clearance for a killer deal for all the parts as well as ready to use , already assembled rim sets. I dont know if they are going to have a new model, or they 're just not going to make the real spoked wheels anymore. So I took advantage of the low prices and picked up a few already assembled rims and part to assemble a gold/black rear MX rim for a full set, and both F and R SM Rims in Blue (all that was left for the most part) so I had a set of smaller rims for the street wheels

So Today, I'm going to be building/assembling 3 rims, one rear gold/black mx rim, and the two SM rims.
It's been a long time since I laced up a wheel but these are really simple to do. There is a certain way you have to build them, which I will go over in this vid.
Once assembled, the spokes then need to be tightened so the wheel is not only perfectly round, but the rim also spins true.

Being "Trued" is a term that describes adjusting the spokes so the rim does not wobble side to side as it spins.

This entire process of assembling the spokes, hub, and rim and getting it ready to install and use, which requries the additional steps of making sure it spins and the outter ring is not out of round, but trueing the wheel so it doesn't wigggle side to side when it spins, is all callled
Truing the wheels.

Once a wheel is fully trued, spinning round, THEN install the wheel, then balance the entire assebly, and THEN it is ready for use.

Follow along as I go through the process for the Promotos as I am sure many people bought the parts, but may be totally baffled as to assembling them correctly. Its Really Easy. Just watch and see.
