Although we often hear of the role of craving as the cause of suffering, it also plays a role in the path to the end of suffering. The path is not going to happen unless you want it to happen and feel motivated to do whatever work it requires. In this daylong–through readings, talks, meditation, and discussion–we will examine the role of desire on the path in the context of teachings like the noble eightfold path, the four bases for success, the four determinations, and the six kinds of skillful delight.
