Ingredients
300g mincemeat (jarred or homemade) • Sweet Mincemeat perfect for Christmas - A...
100g marmalade (thick-cut for extra texture)
100g dark brown sugar
2 large eggs, beaten
3 tbsp whiskey or brandy (plus extra for soaking if desired)
75g unsalted butter, melted
125g self-raising flour
2 tbsp black treacle or molasses
20 glacé cherries, halved
50g mixed nuts, chopped

Zest of 1 orange (optional, for a fresh citrusy note)
2 tbsp milk (optional, for moist)
Microwave on medium power (approximately 400 - 600W) for 20 minutes.
How to bake in the oven. Bake in a Water Bath:
Place the pudding basin in a deep roasting pan.
Pour boiling water into the pan until it reaches halfway up the sides of the bowl. This ensures gentle, even cooking.
Bake in a preheated oven at 150°C (300°F) for 2.5 to 3 hours.
Check the water level occasionally and add more boiling water as needed.
