Say what you will of Miamian Gary Moore's collection of phonographs, gramophones and graphophones, everything machine was authentic down to the last stylus and screw.
"If Bell or Edison didn't make these parts, then I don't have them in the collection," Moore tells Ike Seamans in this 1977 WTVJ-4 story.
Moore's collection of more than one hundred and fifty vintage audio devices includes one example of "every recorder made between 1883 and 1940," reports Seamans. Moore's initial outlay for the collection was between five and ten thousand dollars.
