I was pet/housesitting for a little over a week, winter of last year. Every memory from that time seems to present itself a little differently, I guess cause of the unfamiliarity of everything. Anywho, one evening I found myself watching this. Don't know how. It was captivating. I had watched Emeril a long time ago, years and years ago. The tail end of this episode in particular stood out to me. Just the sequencing of Emeril Lagasse being presented as this idolized "magician" of the kitchen, casting spells upon his canvas as the audience, EVEN THE BAND, oohed and ahhed in the marvel of his work. It was the 11th of December, last year; which was 2023. That pacing followed by the burst of the theme song I found to be very funny out of context.
