On this channel you will find video's about our journey to Self-sufficient (may be off grid) life style. Right now we are still tied to the grid in may ways. We have what I love to call our Urban Homestead. We grown a good portion of our own food in our backyard & driveway gardens. Which we expended to about three times the size last year. We do a bit of container gardening for most of our herbs which conveniently sit in a sunny spot right outside the kitchen door. We still have trials & struggles with growing our own food but we learn something new every year; what works & what doesn't for our area.

I do 100% of our cooking at home. We haven't eaten out since 2019 and even then we only ate out about 5-6 times a year for birthday's & wedding anniversary. We brown bag it to save money, travel mug for coffee / tea, using other tip's & trick's my mother taught me such as stretching a meal etc.

📍Eggnog Ice Cream
Chill Mixing Bowl & Attachment

8oz Cream Cheese (room temp)

Chill:
2c Heavy Whipping Cream
2c Eggnog
14oz Sweetened Condensed Milk


1/2tsp Cinnamon
1/4tsp Nutmeg
1/2tsp Vanilla Bean Paste

Options for Cream Cheese alternative:
Greek Yogurt
Reduce the amount of Eggnog 😲

When I made it without cream cheese I used my ice cream maker to turn it into ice cream. Nit really sure if it would work in the mixer. If you have a ice cream maker. Omit cream cream chill mixer for a few hours before putting it into the ice cream maker.
