Day 2 Hitting "Ginger" Bootleg Canyon's gnarliest trail (broken saddle, derailleur & cranks) 4/6/21

Описание: This is Day 2 of our trip to Vegas for Spring Break. We went back to shuttle Bootleg Canyon. Although we had plans to start early there were tons of delays. We picked up a new DH tire for Francisco but it would bead so he had to go back to All Mountain Cyclery to have them install it so he missed the first shuttle.
On Francisco's first run we decided to go back and hit Armageddon so he can get his redemption since it slashed his rear tire in the first 1/2 mile of the trail. This time he got further down the trail but towards the bottom his saddle fell off his seatpost. Apparently the trail is so chunky it loosened the bolts off!
Francisco decided to sit the next shuttle out so Chris and I decided to hit "Ginger" which is the gnarliest trail in Bootleg and probably one of the gnarliest trails I have ever ridden. I had ridden it once before but there was a steep nasty chute that I walked last time. I was stoked that I was able to clean the entire trail without walking ... until the end I took a tiny drop which sent me to the right and I slammed my right hand into a jagged boulder. It took the tip of my finger off but luckily that was it. It felt way more painful than what it was. That same section broke Chris's jocky wheel of his derailleur but he was able to still ride.
That crash ended my day I was unable to bend my finger to brake so Chris went up to do a solo run. Towards the bottom he decided to huck a rock garden and was a little side ways, his cranks slammed on one of the boulders and snapped his carbon cranks.
After the ride I met up with my wife and we went with Francisco to the Vegas Outdoor shooting range. Chris, Alex and Francisco headed home and I stayed in vegas for 2 more days with my family. The day I got home my restaurant got broken into that night. He didnt get anything my alarm went off and he ran off. The police got there with in minutes but he was already gone. I was really pissed off that night but by the next day I realized it could have been a lot worse and I am glad no one was hurt.
