When I was a kid, my family lived on a Native American reservation in Arizona.
One night, a late drive for snacks turned into something we’d never forget.
A cow started running alongside our pickup truck — keeping pace, weaving through the desert brush.
But when it disappeared and came back out of the darkness… it wasn’t a cow anymore.
This short film is based on a true encounter at the Fort McDowell Reservation, retold with cinematic realism and rooted in Native folklore surrounding Skinwalkers — beings said to take on the form of animals.
