The Mercedes-Benz GLA250 is a subcompact luxury crossover SUV. This particular model is the first-gen of the GLA class chassis code “X156”. The GLA nameplate, “GL” stands for Geländewagen (German for off-road vehicle) and the “A” designates its overall place in the Mercedes range which is the A-Class, Mercedes subcompact class. We installed the FTuned GT Series adjustable suspension, matched it with a set of EDFC Active Pro. The EDFC upgrade enabled the GT Series coilover to function as a fully active suspension where the EDFC did all the work as an active damping controller that smartly changes the damping on all four shocks all the time based on acceleration, braking and vehicle speed.

For this particular post, this Mercedes-Benz GLA250 just recently installed EDFC Active Pro with FTuned GT Series.
This new version of EDFC or Electronic damping force controller allows the damping to be adjusted actively during cornering, acceleration, braking and when the vehicle speed changes. This is based on inputs from the G-force from the G sensor built in and the vehicle speed data via the GPS unit supplied with the set. The whole range of the adjustable damping clicks in the FTuned Suspension is fully utilized while you drive. The Ride and Handling aspect greatly improves by having this active damping FTuned Suspension on your vehicle
