In this psychoeducational video, Dr. Kate Truitt explores how our brain's anticipation mechanisms work, particularly in relation to anxiety. She explains how our brain uses anticipation to keep us safe, but sometimes it can go into overdrive.   

Dr. Truitt introduces the Havening Technique, a tool that uses gentle touch to soothe the brain and reduce anxiety.  You'll learn about four different Havening Touch applications and how to use them with distraction techniques to create a sense of calm. This will help you partner with your brain to down-regulate stress and embrace empowered change.
