The 2023 Hartford Marathon: Handcycle Edition!

Описание: Steve takes on the 2023 Hartford marathon on his handcycle. The first third of the course was redesigned this year, heading out to West Hartford with a ride through Elizabeth Park. From there, the racers headed back downtown, cruised along the river, and worked their way through East Hartford to the turnaround in South Windsor. It was then eight more miles back to the city and through the Memorial Arch to finish in Bushnell Park. The new course added several steep climbs to the race, but the competition kept Steve cranking.

We both want to thank the Hartford Marathon Foundation for going the extra mile to make this race so accessible for people with disabilities – and specifically handcyclists like us. It is a gorgeous course and the first marathon we ever attempted back in 2019. Now it feels like coming home.
