As reported by AFP and Al Arabiya on Saturday (October 11, 2025), the announcement was made by U.S. President Donald Trump’s special envoy for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, in a statement posted on social media platform X on Friday (October 10).

Quoting the Pentagon, Witkoff said that U.S. Central Command “has confirmed that the Israel Defense Forces have completed the first-stage withdrawal to the yellow line at 12:00 local time.”
